Discover everything you can do with your realistic Union Avatar in different virtual worlds and even in real life
Since we have started generating photorealistic avatars, we have not stopped discovering new platforms where it is possible to upload your own avatar to interact with it and personalize the user experience in this way.
We have to admit that we are having a lot of fun with all these tests that we are doing and seeing to what extent our avatar can adapt to each application. Actually, the list of games, metaverses or applications is very long and we are very happy to see that there are more and more options that allow you to upload your avatar.
Where can I upload my avatar?
In this post, we are going to offer you those platforms that perhaps you still did not know where you can upload your avatar, from games to tools to create your own Vtuber. We explain them below:
LIV, capture your experience while you play
If you still do not know LIV, you should know that this tool allows you to record yourself through a camera within VR games and to be able to share the videos with whomever you want.
But if you don’t have a camera available and you still want to share your experience within the game, you can upload your avatar in VRM format to LIV as explained here. You can see the result in this video:
Become a VTuber with the VMagicMirror app
There are more and more VTubers or Virtual Youtubers who create content on YouTube through their 3D avatar. Most of the Vtubers that exist today are models of anime characters and that already reached millions of followers mainly in countries like Japan, an example is Gawr Gura which has more than 3.5M followers on its YouTube account.
There are many applications that allow you to upload your avatar in VRM format and are very easy to use to start creating videos with your own avatar. We have been testing VMagicMirror and the truth is that it is very easy to install and use. It does not require a camera and the movements of the avatar are based on the movement of the mouse and keyboard. It also offers lip tracking based on the audio you send through your microphone.
Play games with your own avatar
Have you ever imagined being the star of your favourite game? Now there are a lot of mini-games where you can upload your avatar in VRM format. An example is the game VRast for Windows. It is a Street Fighter-type arcade where you can compete against other fighters with your personal avatar.
You can also play baseball with your avatar with the game Virtual Homerun Derby, improve your shooting experience with SunFlower or be the best delivery man in your city at home with the game Food Battle Delivery.
Enter the Metaverse
There is no doubt that the metaverse is going to be the next big thing on the internet. While we wait for games very close to the metaverse such as Roblox, Fortnite or Minecraft to allow custom avatars to be uploaded, we are already using our realistic avatar in virtual spaces such as VRChat, Somnium Space or Mozilla Hubs.
The virtual reality platform VRChat, which already has about 30,000 concurrent users on a regular basis, is one of the most popular that offers the option of uploading your avatar, as you can see in this tutorial that we have on our blog.
Somnium Space is also one of the metaverses where we have tested our avatar (you can upload yours by following the steps in this tutorial). If you don’t know it yet, Somnium Space is a virtual world based on Ethereum that tries to recreate reality and where you can buy and sell plots like NFT.
Finally, another of the virtual spaces that we recommend, is Mozilla Hubs, especially if you want to hold an event or meeting in an impromptu way. It is a chat system in a virtual environment through which you can move. To upload your own avatar you will need a .GLB format, which you can easily convert if you have a .FBX file.
Make your avatar come true with 3D printing
If you thought that your avatar could only be used for the virtual world, you are very wrong. Our avatar in .FBX format can be imported into programs such as Fusion 360 or Autocad to convert it into a printable file and bring your realistic avatar to life as we have done.
Undoubtedly this function opens up a world of possibilities for those who play role-playing games with figures and now they could create an army with their avatar.
Don’t wait more and create your realistic avatar now
In case you haven’t tried it yet, we encourage you to request your 3D realistic avatar just by sending a selfie through our avatar creator. You can request it for free and, if you still don’t have an invitation code, you can leave us your e-mail and we will send it to you as soon as possible so that you can create your avatar.
